Onsight Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy is a Sports Medicine clinic specializing in rock climbing injuries and research. Before attending medical school, Dr. Matt was working at Mesa Rim rock climbing gym in San Diego, California. When he left for the University of Colorado, he had the dream to return to Mesa Rim as an “on-site” Physical Therapist. Four years later he returned as a Coach and Team Doctor for the Mesa Rim youth competitive climbing team and opened up the Onsight Sports Medicine clinic at the gym.

Dr. Matt is an avid climber and climbs sport at the 5.12+/5.13 level and trad at the 5.11/5.11+ level. His Doctoral Degree thesis investigated rock climbing injuries with an emphasis on pulley injuries.
Dr. Matt's research specializes in Climbing Pulley Injuries and Youth Finger Epiphyseal Plate (Growth Plate) Fractures, as well as other hand injuries from climbing.
